Useful Internet Tools Workshop #2 – filesharing – Weds, Aug 22, 20:30 – FREE @ Skizum Studios Berlin (Wühlischstr. 12, F’hain)

Part 2 of our “how to benefit from the new internet” series explores different filesharing techniques that allows you to download music and films and software from the internet. After a brief history of filesharing we will take a hands-on tour throgh LimeWire and bittorrent. If you feel like it we can discuss some legal and political consequences of filesharing or piracy as some people want to call it as well. As usual, the workshop will be projected onto the large screen so folks can see everything easily. Feel free to bring your laptop and use our wireless DSL service. If there is tie and interest enough, we will also show you some other cool things related to the second wave of internet, the famous “web 2.0″ – social stuff like del.icio.us, flickr, last.fm, RSS and more.
